DUO PRO / FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Useful answers before you install and connect.

Does Duo Pro mirror my Mac?

Duo Pro adds an extended display. Move a Mac window to your tablet and keep different content on each screen.

Do I need an app on both devices?

Yes. Install the Mac app and the Android tablet app.

Do both devices need the same Wi-Fi?

They need to be on a local network where they can reach each other. Guest network isolation can prevent discovery or connection, even when the Wi-Fi name looks the same.

Can I control my Mac with touch and pen?

Yes. Enable tablet input in the Mac app and allow Accessibility access. Choose view-only, touch and pen, or pen-only mode on the tablet.

Does pen pressure work?

Duo Pro sends changes in pen pressure and tilt to the Mac. How those inputs appear depends on the Mac app you use.

Can I use my tablet in portrait?

Yes. Choose portrait in the Mac app before starting the display, then turn your tablet upright. Rotating the tablet alone does not change the Mac display orientation.

Why does the Mac app ask for permissions?

Screen Recording lets Duo Pro show the extended display on your tablet. Accessibility is also needed if you want tablet touch and pen to control the Mac.

Will it work with my devices?

See the compatibility page for supported setups and verified devices. A development build target alone does not guarantee support for every device in that range.
